There are many ways you can help the men and women in our Armed Forces and the work of the Veterans and Military Services Program. One critical area is financial support.
Veteran and Military Services Program (333007)
Gifts to this fund are used to support programming and outreach for the Veteran and Military Services Program at the U-M Ann Arbor campus. This program coordinates outreach to potential students looking to come to U-M as well as assisting current students complete their academic goals through peer to peer mentoring, workshops, events, campus resource coordination and advocating to remove institutional barriers.
Veteran and Military Emergency Relief Fund (327863)
Gifts to this fund are used to support student veterans or military students who are in crisis and are needing immediate financial assistance. This could include food, rent, medical bills, childcare or tuition assistance.
Veterans Scholarship Endowment Fund (731756)
Gifts to this fund are placed in the permanent endowment, ensuring that interest will be awarded in perpetuity to need-based scholarship awards for students who are veterans, current or former members of the U.S. Armed Services or ROTC.
University of Michigan Veterans Scholarship Fund (320247)
Donations to this fund at the University of Michigan provide need-based scholarship support to current or former members of the U.S. Armed Services or Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) and to veterans and others through immediate awards.
SSGT Ergin V. Osman Scholarship Fund (796415)
SSGT Ergin V Osman lost his life suddenly over memorial day weekend in 2011 due to an IED explosion while serving our county in Afghanistan. He left behind two amazing children, a wife, a sister and both of his parents. His mother Sara Osman along with the help of many close friends and family of Ergin have successfully set up a college scholarship fund with the University of Michigan to help aid college tuition to the children and family members of soldiers who are injured or who lost their lives while serving in our military.
