The Go Blue Guarantee is the university’s commitment to cover the full cost of in-state tuition for in-state students who have family incomes of $125,000 or less and assets below $125,000 (effective fall 2025); the current thresholds are family incomes of $75,000 or less and assets below $75,000.
Before you make any major decisions about your future, we want to make sure that you know about the availability of in-state tuition for active duty, reservists, and veterans.

If you qualify, U-M will pay full undergraduate tuition and mandatory university fees for up to four years for students:
- who are eligible for in-state tuition
- who are eligible to apply for financial aid
- that have family incomes of $125,000 or less and assets below $125,000 (effective fall 2025); the current thresholds are family incomes of $75,000 or less and assets below $75,000
- who are pursuing their first bachelor’s degree
